I have enjoyed taking photographs since childhood. My father was a great influence and mentor. I am self-taught and I find myself still exploring, still discovering... I like to share my images with others, using different formats.

The modern convenience of shooting with phone or compact camera allows me to be ready when a shot presents itself. I still prefer the heavy kit and tripod but it is not always the practical solution.

Vancouver Island people and places offer an abundance of subject matter as I continue to search for a new perspective, a new view.

Part of my quest is to experiment with a medium that will add dimension to my photos. I recently discovered “photo encaustic” and I am having great fun with this mixed media, layering photos, paint, found objects and bee’s wax.

My work has appeared previously in the Sooke Fine Arts show, the Sidney Fine Art Show, the Look Show, and in many local art exhibitions.
